The CAOS suite for Windows and UNIX is a complete single crystal refinement suite using a scripts based interface similar to Crystals. Amongst is functionality is the ability to implement complex constraints/restraints as well as automatic hydrogen placement. CAOS links into the Sir97 software, and much of CAOS is being merged into Sir for structure refinement.

Obtaining and installing CAOS

• For Windows 95/98/NT:

  • Fill in the on-line form then download the ZIPPED program file from http://www.mlib.cnr.it/isc/caos/
