Why Doesn't Platon for UNIX redraw the screen after running other programs

This is most likely due to a nuance in the UNIX X Windows. Type [CONTROL] L to request a screen refresh from Platon.

If this does not work Platon (or a spawned program) may still be doing some number crunching and you will have to be patient before it finishes.
