When CRYSFIRE generates ITO, TREOR, DICVOL, TAUP and LZON files, it can use rather robust defaults that the user may want to over-ride. An example of this is the DICVOL control file which may require some optimisation to search triclinic space in a time effective manner.
Though it should be noted that with the latest CRYSFIRE 9.33, it is far easier to control some common defaults from the CRYSFIRE interface - such a setting up DICVOL files that do not search triclinic space.
