Future Possibilities
Nexus CD-ROMs as a Template
- The Nexus concept is in the public domain.
If considered worthwhile, anyone is free to apply
the Nexus concept and format to their particular academic field
without need for obtaining permissions. Having an existing
template makes setting up a new CD relatively easy.
Crystallographic Nexus CD-ROM's
- Specialised Crystallographic CD-ROMs (640 Meg is
not that great amount of space)
- IUCr Site CD-ROM
- Protein Crystallography (Linux Based)
- Powder Diffraction
- Small Molecule
- Crystallographic Software Development CD-ROM
(source code, compilers: Windows, Linux)
- Etc, etc.....
Scientific Nexus CD-ROM's
- In theory, any permutation and combination for any field of
science can be implemented if the motivation by only a single
individual is present (plus PC, CDR and 28,800 Modem)!
- If part of an organisational, or departmental
initiative, this should be easier; though care should be taken
with the legal implications.
