The chair of inorganic chemistry

The staff of the Chair of Inorganic Chemistry consists of 14 members, among them there are 7 lecturers, 3 laboratory assistants and 3 post-graduate students, who prepare about 10 chemists-specialists every year. From its foundation (1987) and until present the head of the Chair is Prof. V.N.Serezhkin. The Chair provides the studies on fundamental chemical courses: "Inorganic Chemistry", "Quantum Chemistry", "Crystal Chemistry", "Structure of Substance", "Computer Chemistry", "Mathematical Methods in Chemistry" and "Physical Methods of Investigation". The lecturers of the Chair are Associate Prof. L.M.Bahmetyeva, Prof. V.A.Blatov, Associate Prof. L.S.Lazareva, Associate Prof. V.Yu.Losev, Prof. V.N.Serezhkin, Prof. L.B.Serezhkina and Associate Prof. A.P.Shevchenko. There is the post-graduate courses on the Chair. During its existence the Chair has prepared more than 100 specialists and ten of them became the Candidates of Science in Chemistry.

The Chair specialization stipulates the study of the following disciplines:

The Foundations of the X-ray Phase and Structure Analysis (Prof. V.N.Serezhkin) - 64 hours
Synthesis and Purification of Inorganic Substances (Associate Prof. L.S.Lazareva and Prof. L.B.Serezhkina) - 68 hours
Solid State Chemistry (Prof. V.A.Blatov) - 34 hours
Chemistry of Coordination Compounds (Associate Prof. L.M.Bahmetyeva) - 44 hours
IR and Raman Spectroscopy (Prof. L.B.Serezhkina and Associate Prof. V.Yu.Losev) - 42 hours
Physical-Chemical Analysis (Prof. L.B.Serezhkina) - 60 hours
Chemical Informatics and Internet (Prof. V.A.Blatov) - 18 hours
