SXGRAPH
2.4.3.1 - SXGRAPH - Screen menu
This menu items re-displays the Principal Screen Menu at the right of the
display. As the mouse is moved over the display area it will show some
of the properties of the closest atom to the cursor. If an atom is close
enough to the cursor to show, it will become selectable by a left mouse
click. This is the easiest way of selecting individual atoms. When an
atom becomes selected, a yellow circle appears at its position and the
atom name is give in the status bar at the bottom of the screen.
The Screen Menu allows the user to
- change which atoms are displayed on screen
- display the unit cell
- display atom labels
- change the track-ball action of the mouse. The default action is X-Y
rotation, but Z-rotation, translation and Zoom are also possible. The sensitivity
of the mouse to actual movement of the model may also be changed.
- activate box selection - in this mode a whole group of atoms may be
selected by dragging the mouse. A box covering the dragged area becomes visible
and on release of the mouse button, all atoms within the box are selected.
The box selection mode de-activates the normal track-ball action of the mouse.
Box selection can be switched off either by de-selection of the check-box, or
by a right mouse click.
