This dialog is used to write a spectrum to a file.
There are three text entry areas:
the number of the spectrum
the name of the file
the directory of the file
The spectrum is currently written as some heading information followed by X and Y values in two columns. More than one spectrum may be written to the same file so long as they are written at the same time. Usually a write operation will overwrite the file from the start. The heading information is still experimental but it should be ignored by, for example, PLOTEK. The ability to overwrite or append is likely to be added soon.
To select a spectrum for writing:
type the number of the spectrum into the 'Write spectrum number' text entry area
OR
select a spectrum from the 'List of Spectra' by clicking the left mouse button on it or by using the arrow and space keys
To specify a file to write to:
edit the 'Into the file named' and 'which is in directory' text areas so that together the form a complete pathname.
To write a spectrum to a file:
operate the Write button
OR
press the RETURN key while one of the text areas has the keyboard focus.
Note that it is possible to enter more than one spectrum number ( they should be separated by commas or spaces ). Or to select more than one from the 'List of Spectra'.
